Engaged Islamic Students

Na’t is a vocal expression of deep devotion and love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is a lyrical poetic tradition representing admiration, reverence, and spiritual affection for the Prophet (PBUH). Throughout history, Qur'anic verses have also been recited within Na’t to honor him in the presence of the Divine.

Na’t poetry has remained a cherished literary form for centuries. It resembles the angelic blessings sent upon the Prophet (PBUH) and the divine glad tidings mentioned in celestial scriptures. Even the noble Sahaba and Sahabiyyat contributed remarkably to the tradition of Na’t recitation. Among them, Hazrat Hassan-bin-Thabit (RA) stood out and established a classical standard for Na’t literature.
